Sometimes when I know I am eating something that isnt organic, usually produce, I think I can taste the pesticides and gross chemicals. Am I becoming too much of a purist? Has this happened to anyone else?

Wed, January 23, 2008 - 10:06 AMI can especially taste them in lettuce. I think when eating food with a high water content, this becomes more evident. I don't think we're imagining it, the chemical taste is nasty.

Yes, and it has that chemical taste I can't describe--very sharp! I've been told that the companies try to pick pesticides that are tasteless and odorless for us. How thoughtful! ....ahem, thoughtless!
